USPA NEWS - The City of Paris will host an NBA regular season game on Friday January 24 for the first time in its history. Around this exceptional event, animations around basketball proposed in particular by the NBA are planned in different places of the capital from January 20. On January 24, the City of Paris will host for the first time a regular season game of the National Basket Ball Association (NBA). The Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks will face off in the heart of Paris, at the AccorHotels Arena (12th). On this occasion, many events will be organized around basketball and this exceptional match: an immersion in the famous NBA ecosystem and the practice of basketball for Parisians, and Ile-de-France.

THE PROGRAM WILL BE ORGANIZED SEVERAL EVENTS------------------------------------------------------------------------ A free NBA House will be open to the general public from January 23 to 26 in the Halle des Blancs Manteaux (4th); the opportunity to discover the NBA universe and live a unique interactive basketball experience. Coaching sessions organized by NBA coaches (including Joe Prunty, a famous American coach) for basketball clubs and Parisian coaches, UNSS graduates and elementary school students. The gates of the Tour Saint Jacques will host a photo exhibition dedicated to the career of the French international player now retired from the ranks of the NBA, Tony Parker. Two esports tournaments on the NBA 2K20 game will be organized for members of Parisian basketball clubs. Since October, an initiation program in sports journalism has been organized for CM1 and CM2 students who have followed the preparation of the event and who will be present on D-Day, in mixed zone, alongside journalists accredited to lead to the publication of a special edition of a sports newspaper for children called "little dunk". Basketball will continue to be in the spotlight during school sports games from February 3 to 7, 2020.
